Hario Mini Mill ceramic hand grinder from Hario is a little gem. Ceramic conical burrs and easily adjustable via the nut at the bottom of the burrs. Has a light weight plastic body for easier travelling.
A great lightweight hand grinder. Works great with hand brewing devices like the Aeropress, V60, Clever Dripper and French press.

5 stars Neat (little) grinder Written by James Martin
Pro: very good grinder with adjustable burrs. Con: Instructions in Japanese - but it's pretty simple to figure out. Size is as described. You're not getting much more than a couple of cups out of this. I can grind an almost full hopper in around a minute. Overall, I like it a lot. The gring is what is important to me, and it does very well.

5 stars Hallo, Hario! Written by Nathan
When I wanted a small hand grinder for use at home I did a lot of research, and a lot of coffee afficianados raved over this - some of them keep one of these as a portable grinder for when they are going somewhere and can't get decent coffee! Anyway this is ace. It's small, compact and has a quality ceramic BURR (very important, not a blade) grinding mechanism and produces good quality consistently milled coffee in small quantities. If you're after something that does larger quantities then I think Hario do something larger, but as the only coffee drinker in the house this really is a peach of a gadget. Why not pair it with the Aeropress like I have for a cheap, reliable means of making super quality, super fresh coffee!

5 stars Excellent value manual coffee mill Written by fcrvincent
Well designed manual coffee mill: ceramic burr that does not rust and is supposed to last longer than other metal burrs; beans container with a cover to avoid beans spilling out when grinding; ground coffee container in plastic that should not break when falling; compact size easy to handle. We use it every day for grinding coffee beans for 1 to 2 cups of expresso. Grinding is consistent and allows to get cream with every cup of expresso. Manual grinding takes about 1 minute per cup. CoffeHit delivered quickly: shipped the same day as order; received 2 days later on a Saturday.

5 stars Good grounds, sturdy and portable Written by John
I bought this manual burr grinder just after christmas after wanting to take my coffee love to new levels. I was wanting to get a good burr grinder (better consistency than a blade) but without it costing me an arm and a leg like some of the electric versions I've seen but that was still easy to use and clean. Portability was also a key factor so I could take this with me to work, but drag it home for my weekend fix as well. I'm glad to say the Hario Slim Mill has met my expectations completely so far. The adjustment is simple and easy, with cleaning resulting in un-doing the nut and everything slides out. The clear top isn't 'fixed' but is a firm enough fit not to worry about, the botton section screws onto the grinder section. Using a filter machine at work usually requires 1 1/2 ish full grinds to get the right amount and although grinding takes a few minutes even on a fairly coarse grind (more than the description quoted I think) the result is worth it and it burns a few calories in the process. It's not too noisy when grinding either so won't wake everyone up if your an early riser. I'd definately recommend this to anyone who likes their coffee enough to appreciate freshly ground beans (even better if roasted recently too) in whatever format they want without the massive cost. If you're an addict that makes more than 4 or 5 cups of coffee a day, every day, you might find an electric less arduous but this grinder really gives the coffee making an artisan feel.

I'm really pleased with my Hario Slim Mill. How should I clean it, and how often? Is it OK to run it under the tap?

Hi,

Best way to clean is to remove the 2 ceramic burrs and wash them in warm soapy water. The rest oif the grinder just wipe with wet cloth.

Many thanks
