Item arrived with a thick plastic protective coating on top, So the shiny surface was pristine. The stainless steel is pretty chunky and the item is very robust. The tray slots around the feet of the Jolly with a secure feeling so the tray will not move but is easy to remove and clean. It's pretty big so you'll need a decent ammount of room in front of your grinder for it but it catches pretty much all the loose grinds so helps keep everything tidy. Look good and I'm very happy with the product.
