This Porlex Mini is a smaller version of the Porlex has the same burr set and construction as the orginal larger model but has smaller chambers for the whole and ground beans.
The upper chamber will hold 25g of whole coffee beans.
It also comes with a rubber sleeve to help in gripping the Porlex but also holds your handle for travelling and safe keeping.
The Porlex is still the best hand coffee grinder you can get.

Superb grinder! Tiny niggle... Written by Chris
My niggle is not with the grinder which is really outstanding - I get far better results from this than I do from my Krups electric mill. It's small, it's compact, you put your beans in the top, turn the handle for a couple of minutes, you get your grinds out the bottom, you can't go wrong. The bottom fits neatly into a portafilter making transfer mess-free and straightforward. Adjusting the grind is intuitive but some experimentation is necessary before you hit on the right setting. My niggle is that the packaging and instructions are all in Japanese. Frankly, you don't really need instructions with an implement this simple! But it would be nice to have them. Coffee Hit do say on their site that it comes supplied with English instructions so perhaps they just forgot to put it in my package (which incidentally arrived very quickly and in great condition). It would be nice if they replied to my e-mail about it. :)
Coffee Hit: I glad your enjoying the Porlex Mini. The English instructions are available for download from this product page.

Great for my pavoni lever espresso Written by Henrik Siegumfeldt
Although other reviews state that the porlex grinds very fine, I was dubious. So I adjusted it to very fine (one click from completely stuck), and ground some beans. Fluffy grind that I tamped lightly, and it froze my lever !!!. Readjusted one more click and beautiful espresso emerged :-). I am not crazy about the fact that I have to take off the handle to add beans, but overall a nice little grinder

Porlex Mini Grinder Written by Drupe
Does exactly what it says on the box......I think, It's all in Japanese. Anyway, as the only espresso drinker in the house, I wanted a small burr grinder to make one cup.
Reiss Gunson at Londinium Espresso recommended this product, and I can't fault it. You need a firm grip, and to expend a few calories to grind sufficient beans. It makes the end product even more pleasurable though.
