Perfect Coffee, Every Time — No Scales Needed
The Coffee Hit Coffee Bean Scoops take the guesswork out of dosing, giving you a precise, repeatable measurement every time you brew — whether you're at home, in the office, or travelling. Each set includes two scoops: a 6g scoop for single-serve doses and a 30g scoop for larger brews. Together they cover every common coffee serving size, so you can dial in your ratio without reaching for the scales.
Know Your Dose
Not sure how many scoops you need? Here's a quick guide:
- Coffee for one (approx. 18g): 3 scoops with the 6g scoop
- 500ml brew (approx. 30g): 1 scoop with the 30g scoop
- 1 litre for home or office (approx. 60g): 2 scoops with the 30g scoop
The standard specialty coffee ratio is approximately 60g per litre of water, so both scoops are calibrated to work naturally within that range. Use them for filter coffee, French press, AeroPress, or any other brew method where you're measuring whole beans or ground coffee by weight.
Beautifully Made
Each scoop is crafted from food-grade 430 stainless steel with a brushed satin finish, paired with a natural oak wood handle. The dose — 6g or 30g — is laser-engraved directly into the handle so it never fades or wears off. A hanging hole at the base of each handle makes them easy to store on a hook or coffee station peg.
Great for Travel
Compact and lightweight, the Coffee Hit Coffee Bean Scoops are ideal for travel, camping, or any situation where your scales aren't to hand. Toss them in your bag alongside your AeroPress or hand grinder and you're ready to brew accurately wherever you are.
In the Box
Two coffee bean scoops: 1 x 6g scoop with oak wood handle, 1 x 30g scoop with oak wood handle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these scoops accurate for ground coffee as well as whole beans?
The scoops are calibrated for whole coffee beans. Ground coffee can vary in density depending on grind size, so the weight per scoop may differ slightly when using pre-ground coffee. For best accuracy, we recommend measuring whole beans before grinding.
What brewing ratio do the scoops work with?
The scoops are designed around the widely used specialty coffee ratio of approximately 60g of coffee per litre of water (1:16). The 6g scoop is ideal for dialling in single doses, while the 30g scoop covers standard batch sizes of 500ml and 1 litre quickly and accurately.
Can I use these with an espresso machine?
Yes. The 6g scoop is particularly useful for espresso, where a single shot typically requires around 6g to 9g of coffee. Three scoops of the 6g gives you approximately 18g, which is a standard double espresso dose. That said, for espresso we always recommend dialling in with a set of scales initially to find your preferred dose.
How do I clean the scoops?
Rinse the stainless steel scoop heads under warm running water and dry immediately to maintain the finish. The oak wood handles should not be soaked or put in the dishwasher — wipe them clean with a damp cloth and dry promptly to protect the wood grain.
Will the engraving wear off?
No. The dose markings are laser-engraved directly into the oak wood handle, which means they are permanent and will not fade, peel, or wear off with regular use.
